Kristen Olmi is the Founder & CEO of KO Consulting LLC and is the immediate past chair of YWCA Mahoning Valley’s Board of Directors. She is a strong advocate for YWCA’s mission and programs. Her support extends beyond the Valley. As a consultant, she works with Sister YWCAs in Ohio to assist them in building capacity and raising funds.

Barbara Brothers is a YWCA Emeritus Board Member.

Alexis Smith DO FAOCR resides with her son in Youngstown, Ohio and currently works as a radiologist for Penn Highlands Healthcare in Dubois, Pennsylvania. She served as Co-Medical Director of Joanie Abdu Comprehensive Breast Care Center in Youngstown from 2018 - 2024. Dr. Smith was Director of Breast Imaging at Trinity Health System in Steubenville, Ohio from 2014 to 2017.

Dr. Smith received her Bachelor’s degree in Economics, graduating summa cum laude in 2003 from Washington and Jefferson. A graduate of Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine, Dr. Smith completed diagnostic radiology residency at Penn State Hershey Medical Center and fellowship training in women’s imaging at University of Pittsburgh Medical Center – Magee Womens’ Hospital.

In addition to her clinical work, Dr. Smith serves on the boards of YWCA Mahoning Valley, United Returning Citizens, Ohio Physicians for Reproductive Rights, Eastern Ohio Area Health Education Center, and Thrive Mahoning Valley. She is also group leader for Citizens’ Climate Lobby Mahoning Valley, a Woman of Impact for the American Heart Association Go Red for Women campaign as well as a member of the League of Women Voters of Greater Youngstown voter services committee.

Josh Prest is the Founder and Principal of Prest Public Strategies, a full-service government relations firm based out of Cleveland and Youngstown, OH. He started the firm in January 2023 after spending eight years with former United States Senator Rob Portman as part of his state team in Ohio. He served as District Representative, covering Northeast Ohio for seven years and then as District Director for Northeast Ohio, running the Cleveland office for one year before Senator Portman retired in January 2023.
In his various roles with Senator Portman, he was responsible for 20 counties across Northeast Ohio which included the cities of Cleveland, Youngstown, Akron, Canton and Mansfield. He attended meetings on behalf of Senator Portman for various legislative and constituent matters as well as served as an aide to Senator Portman during his time in Ohio meeting with constituents.
Josh started his career as a Regional Representative in the Ohio Treasurer’s office in 2013 before moving onto Senator Portman’s office in 2015. He is a native of Youngstown, Ohio where he remains engaged with alumni programs at his alma mater, Youngstown State University, where he received a Bachelor’s degree in Political Science. He is a longtime member and Past President of the Rotary Club of Youngstown and serves on the board of directors at OH WOW! The Roger and Gloria Jones Children’s Center for Science and Technology. He currently resides in Ohio City in Cleveland, Ohio.

After my daughter participated in the Young Women Bright Futures Program, I committed to supporting the mission and services of the YWCA of the Mahoning Valley.  As a social worker, community activist and advocate, the Y's mission to eliminate racism, empower women and promote peace, justice, freedom and dignity for all resonated with me across my personal and professional life.  I proudly serve as a Board Member of the YWCA. My credo of choosing people first with the goal of improving quality of life corresponds to the services provided by the YWCA including affordable and transitional housing, youth development and economic empowerment.
